XXVIII. Sonnets for Dancer

Since documentation furthers,

doth you decree,

then this thought feathers

truly only you, exiting me.

Cents not discarded,

and lenses not unbare,

will add that which is smarted

on an outlook weighing fair.

Dents displayed outwards

may only catch rain,

while mints forged inwards

will fill to drink again.

So cast not your pebbles lest you eschew

the jewel set en pointe, the wager in your shoe.
