Trance

I went outside to sit still, staring

somewhere staring still toward the sky:

blue, cloudless, empty. Still

I stared so long, so hard,

staring at a sky still so long it seemed

that I thought of the stop to thoughts

I thought: what I will wrought, thinking these thoughts

to stare, still, staring to stop

at a sky, blue, emtpy, so long

I stared to stop, stared the thought,

the thought to stop thoughts, I wrought

the things to say, to say tonite,

tonite, the day I stared so long,

so long as to stop, to stop thoughts I weared

that stop to stare, the stare stop

those thoughts I stared, the empty sky thought.
